Swedish firm Serneke buys into Consortium Builders Pty Ltd
Consortium’s directors Andrew Abercromby and Mark Swann flew to Sweden in August 2018 to formalize a new business partnership with Serneke,
one of the largest and fastest growing construction companies in Sweden.
Serneke is headquartered in Gothenburg and active in Sweden with construction, civil engineering, project development and property management divisions. The company listed on the Nordic Nasdaq in 2016 and now has more than 1,000 employees in Sweden and a turnover of almost one billion Australian dollars. Serneke’s buy-in to Consortium is the first step of an overseas expansion programme aimed at becoming one of the top 30 construction companies in the world by 2030.
Serneke was founded in 2002 by Ola Serneke and has since earned a reputation for being a values-driven organisation with impeccable environmental and social sustainability credentials and a lean, energetic and competitive approach to construction and development. Ola himself favours projects that foster community, health and well-being – especially with a sports component.
Serneke has invaluable experience delivering medium and high-density developments integrated into existing communities, addressing the needs of a growing and changing population and adding to the quality of life for all residents.
On 8th November 2018 Consortium Builders Pty Ltd commenced trading as Serneke in Australia. Our focus is multi-residential and community buildings designed and built to world standards for environmental & social sustainability.
